Pacific Authentication Company (PAC) collects specific personal information to provide our core services securely.
2. Submission Information
When you submit an item for authentication, we collect:
- Identity Information: First and last name, email address, and authentication credentials.
- Shipping Data: Physical address required for the secure return of your submitted memorabilia.
- Media & Proof: Photographs and videos submitted as proof of signing events.
- Technical Data: IP addresses and session data for security and fraud prevention.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
All transactions are processed securely via Stripe, and PAC does not store raw credit card details on our servers. Additionally, we utilize Google Cloud Platform and Firebase for secure database and media storage, SendGrid for transactional emails, and EasyPost for shipping logistics. These providers process data strictly to perform their specific services.
4. Public Certificates
When an item is authenticated, we publish a public Certificate of Authenticity (COA) linked to a unique PAC-ID. This public registry only displays the item details, signer name, certification status, and sanitized media. Your full name, email, billing address, and internal dispute flags are never exposed publicly.
5. Data Retention
We retain transaction and authentication records indefinitely to ensure the permanent integrity of the public registry and to comply with legal and anti-fraud requirements.
6. Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. PAC does not, and will not, sell your personal information to third parties. However, please note that certain data tied to the issuance of a Certificate of Authenticity (PAC-ID) must be retained indefinitely.
7. Children's Privacy
Our services are directed to individuals 18 and older. PAC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it immediately.
