Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Services. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent and warrant that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.

2. Submissions

By submitting an item to Pacific Authentication Company LLC ("PAC"), you warrant that you are the lawful owner or have the right to submit it. PAC's sole contractual liability for any loss, damage occurring while an item is in physical on-site custody, or claim arising from authentication services or determinations shall be strictly capped at the total authentication fee paid by the customer for that specific item.

3. Authentication Opinions

PAC provides an independent professional opinion based on our proprietary evaluation process, multi-point comparative review, and the proof materials provided. PAC issues Certificates of Authenticity (COA) based solely on this opinion. The issuance of a Certificate of Authenticity does not constitute an express or implied warranty of merchantability, future value, or appraisal. In the event an item is deemed inauthentic, unverified, or inconclusive, PAC is not liable for financial loss.

4. Fees

All authentication fees are due at the time of submission. Return shipping and insurance fees will be calculated based on your declared value and address.

5. Refunds

Authentication fees are explicitly non-refundable once physical examination has commenced, regardless of whether the final determination is authentic, unverified, or inconclusive. PAC's maximum contractual liability for any claim shall not exceed the actual authentication fee paid by the customer.

6. Shipping

You are responsible for safely packaging and shipping the item to our facility. All transit to and from PAC is conducted by independent commercial carriers. Liability for loss, delay, or physical damage occurring during transit is governed exclusively by third-party carrier insurance corresponding to the customer's declared value.

7. Disputes

In the event of a payment dispute or chargeback, PAC reserves the right to suspend or revoke any associated Certificates of Authenticity and hold the physical item until the dispute is resolved.

8. Uploaded Content

By uploading proof photos and videos, you grant PAC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and maintain these materials on our public digital verification registry for the purpose of authentication and provenance.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PAC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our services. PAC's sole contractual liability for any loss, damage occurring while an item is in physical on-site custody, or claim arising from authentication services or determinations shall be strictly capped at the total authentication fee paid by the customer for that specific item.
